The Rocky Mountains combine spectacular landscapes with a fascinating history.   Traversing from New Mexico up through Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, they have been home to various Indigenous tribes . . . attracted miners looking for gold, silver, and copper . . . provided hideouts for infamous outlaws . . . and inspired numerous songs throughout the centuries.   These illustrations are my attempt at capturing some of that distinctive scenery and history.
